Hello! My name is Cheri Walters and this is my first week as Community Manager on So.cl. A little about me… I am an artist and have spent most of my life in dance training. I love wine and am into discovering new music. I also have an adventurous spirit and am always looking for new experiences. In fact, I am currently planning to go to my first Burning Man this year.
I made several fascinating discoveries from So.cl’s international community this past week and wanted to highlight one of my favorites.
Parkour
During my first visit to So.cl I came across this post by Katherine Thiry on Parkour.
I know. I know. You must be thinking, “How did you not already know about this awesome, noncompetitive, urban sport? Surely you must have discovered it by now.”
While, yes, I have lived in New York, Paris, Seattle and Cleveland, I have just learned about Parkour through So.cl. This first experience on the site showed me that So.cl is a place to find new discoveries through conversations with people from around the world. Ironically, since learning about Parkour, the subject keeps popping up everywhere for me.
